Comedian and author David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Best-selling children's author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his publisher HarperCollins UK, the company has said.
A representative for the firm commented: "Following a thorough review, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was made after an inquiry regarding allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards women.
The firm declined to specify the motivations for this action, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most prolific writers for young readers, boasting over over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
To date, he has released in excess of 40 works combined, encompassing a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.

His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss last fall.
