'The president appears unhinged': Donald Trump's digital conduct becomes more odd.

According to many watchers, both in the US and abroad, the former president has been acting peculiarly in recent times. Especially online.

Current Social Media Episodes

As a government shutdown loomed across America the previous week, the commander-in-chief shared an AI video that showed the Democratic leader, the first Black House minority leader, donning a wide-brimmed hat with an oversized mustache, featuring traditional Mexican music in the background.

Hispanic advocacy bodies denounced the president's shares labeling them "racist", "hazardous" and "deplorable", yet Trump escalated, posting a new video that featured him wearing a sombrero strumming a guitar with a representation of the minority leader.

Artificial Intelligence Material and Conspiracy Theories

This represented merely one example where Trump's behavior appeared strange. Recently Trump circulated on his social platform an AI-generated fake video pushing "therapeutic bed centers".

Each US resident will shortly obtain their own med bed card," the computer-generated president apparently seated in the Oval Office stated. Using this, you'll access certain admission to our recently established health centers led by the top doctors throughout America."

Setting aside the fact that the idea of "med beds" is a rightwing conspiracy theory – certain proponents argue that federal authorities and/or a group of wealthy Americans possess advanced medical equipment capable of treating numerous diseases, yet are concealing the innovation – the president's share generated multiple inquiries.

Presidential Reaction

The post was ultimately deleted, but it remains baffling, and the White House's response didn't help ease the confusion.

I believe the commander-in-chief viewed the clip and shared it, and then took it down," the White House press secretary said when asked about the video.

Additional Worrying Incidents

Through a current presentation at the White House wherein the president asserted – against most existing evidence – that Tylenol could contribute to autism if used by expectant mothers, Trump confusingly spoke regarding "particular components of intelligence that can be given to a baby".

A week earlier, through a news conference with British prime minister Keir Starmer, Trump mistakenly identified Albania with Armenia during conversation about a diplomatic settlement struck between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Michigan Incident Response

Returning to online platforms, recently the president posted on Truth Social that he had "been briefed" about a shooting at a Latter-day Saint church in Michigan which killed four people.

He subsequently shared additional content. Yet, it didn't constitute news regarding the developing situation in Michigan. Rather, several hours afterwards, he circulated a clip that displayed multiple golden accessories and decorations.

Armed Forces Speech

Beyond the bewildering social media activity, Trump's physical public engagements have similarly turned strange.

On Tuesday, Trump gathered America's premier defense officials for a gathering in Virginia. Addressing the top military brass, Trump, sounding drained, touted his alleged successes.

The United States is esteemed once more internationally. We were not respected with Biden," the president added. They witnessed him tumbling on staircases every day. Every day, the guy's falling down stairs."

Government Comments

The speech generated instant worry, including from former military members. Retired military leader Barry McCaffrey stated on television that Trump's performance was "one of the most bizarre, unsettling events I've ever encountered".

"The president seemed confused, weary, extremely political, at times stupid," McCaffrey said.

Trump's presentation proved sufficient for Madeleine Dean, a Pennsylvania Democratic representative, to approach the GOP House leader, Speaker Johnson.

"The commander-in-chief appears unstable. He appears ill," the representative stated to Johnson.

The speaker seemed undisturbed about the comments. "Actually numerous people from your party appear similar," Johnson replied.
